The Addin on my VS2010 crashes when loading

description

Hi Vincent,

I am currently trying your great job.
I copied the DLLs AddIn into my folder :
"My Documents\Visual Studio 2010\Addins"

But once I open VS2010, I've got the message (see attached) :
"The Add-in ... failed to load or caused on exception...
Error Message: <Unknown Error>
Error number: 80131515"

My OS: Win7 (no SP), x64
my VS: VS2010 SP1

Ok, it may be a problem with the SP1, actually I was using an old VM to develop this, I'll get a second one to be able to diagnostic with and without SP1
thanks for reporting :)

I had the same issue. It is because win7 has marked the zip file as coming from the internet and blocked the contents. To fix this go to the properties of the zip file and click the "Unblock" button.
You can then unzip the files and move them to your Addin folder and it will be OK.
